Special Exhibition:
IMAGES OF INTERNMENT: THE INCARCERATION OF JAPANESE AMERICANS DURING WORLD WAR II

On February 19, 2017 -- the 75th anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066 -- the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum opened a new photographic exhibition entitled, IMAGES OF INTERNMENT: THE INCARCERATION OF JAPANESE AMERICANS DURING WORLD WAR II, with over 200 photographs including the work of Dorothea Lange and Ansel Adams. Signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Executive Order 9066 led to the incarceration of 120,000 people of Japanese descent -- including approximately 80,000 American citizens -- during World War II. The exhibit will be on display in the Library's William J. vanden Heuvel Gallery through December 31, 2017. MORE ...

Location: Rose Garden & Wallace Center

On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., the National Park Service will hold a Rose Garden Ceremony to commemorate Franklin Roosevelt's Birthday. Following the ceremony, the FDR Presidential Library will invite attendees to return to the Wallace Center for birthday cake and refreshments.

Presidential Autographs
Location: Roosevelt Library Research Room
Time: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Roosevelt Library will host a President's Day Weekend event Documents on Display: Presidential Autographs on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Attendees can view a selection of presidential autographs from the Roosevelt Library archives -- many of which are from FDR's personal collection. The autographs display will be in the Roosevelt Library Research Room, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
